The chow mein was super flavorful and yummy like each time that we visited. I love the ginger added to the chicken chow mein. The fried rice, while it has peas and carrots... Taste great. The server was part of the family that owns the restaurant and is an exceptional waiter. There was a hour and a half. Wait, the staff had the ability to get the smaller groups in, but did it in order. For as busy as it was, the staff could've swept up a little from spills here and there of rice and other things. Overall, the ambience is cozy.

Ordered take out. Called it in when I was leaving the South Town Mall. Ordered beef and broccoli combo for my wife and ma po tofu combo for me. He wasn't accurate when the gentleman on the phone told me it would be 15 minutes or so. I drove there, it is literally a 3 minute drive. Parked the car, went in, paid for my order, was told it would be a few minutes. One minute later, out came my order. This was blazing fast! Blazing fast. Five minutes. This is my first time here. This is a large restaurant. It was Friday night and the parking lot and place was packed. The place looks somewhat classy. Now the food. First of all, the portions are quite generous. I've had two meals already and I still have enough for another one plus. My wife said the beef wasn't cut thinly like most places, but was good as was the broccoli. So was her egg drop soup. My ma po tofu was excellent. The flavor was perfect. The heat was just right, enough of a kick to make my nose run a bit, but not too much that I was burning. Nice cubes of silken tofu, quarter cuts of black mushrooms, tender slices of pork, thin slices of green peppers...and shrimp! Never had shrimp in ma po tofu before. This was excellent. I highly recommend upgrading your entreé to the combo dinner. You get a choice of soup or salad, an egg roll, fried rice with ham, and a large deep fried butterflied shrimp for only $3.75. Definitely worth it. My hot and sour soup was excellent. The shrimp was excellent. Although the egg roll pales compared to my mom's :) it still had some meat in it and was nice and crispy. I was beginning to give up finding a decent Chinese restaurant since moving here. I now have hope. And it is only 5 minutes from my house. Bonus. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I have a very strict diet that I follow, so it can be hard to find a place to eat out at. This place, surprisingly, was very accommodating to my needs. The waitress I had was super nice and helpful. I would definitely go there again.

I could make an entire meal out of their eggrolls. I love in St George where there are not any remotely decent Chinese places and I couldn't want to stay in Sandy and have Chinese. Ordered take out from here as I was up for a conference and I wish I would have ordered just eggrolls and maybe rice. Everything I order was great, but for some reason the eggroll stood out. Happy family was fantastic as well.

First off, I've lived in Sandy since 2015 and have driven by this restaurant almost every week day since 2016. I've always wondered how it was, but never wanted to take a chance. I came here with my coworkers for lunch and was pleasantly surprised from start to finish. My husband is normally the Chinese food guy. I am often not in the mood, and have a hard time finding places I'm enthusiastic about. But I went back to this spot soon after my first visit because I loved it so much. I got honey walnut shrimp, which is my go-to. The lunch special prices were super fair, and the portions were generous. Highly recommend trying at lunch time since the stakes are lower than at dinner. Our food came out quickly, and everyone at the table was happy with their food. We were seated quickly. Our service was fine--nothing stands out in either a positive or negative direction. My second visit was for dinner with my family. We had a bit of a wait, but nothing too crazy, and the quoted time was accurate. Food and service were consistent on my second visit. I genuinely like Joy Luck and will be happy to go back anytime my husband wants Chinese food.

First off the service was incredible. Our glasses never got below half empty before they were filled up again. Also, our waiter overheard our 2 year old being upset about not having any more of the creamy egg drop soup and he brought us another one just for her. We ordered the family size meal that included half a bobo, I got the red curry and my husband had the sweet and sour pork. The curry was outstanding; seriously I ate until I couldn't any more. The sweet and sour was crunchy and delicious. We will absolutely be making this our go to spot!

The Bountiful Joy Luck is one of my favorite restaurants, and this location is growing on me. The food here is just as amazing as at the Bountiful location (I think the menu might actually be a little bigger). And it's just as good of a deal--lots of food for the price; you're pretty much guaranteed to have leftovers. The ambience here is similar but not quite as good. It feels a little more crowded in some places, maybe because the front of the restaurant is more narrow. Finally, the service. I definitely get better service in Bountiful--although the staff knows me there from many years of patronage, which probably contributes. I also don't understand why there are no lazy Susans on the round tables at this location.

I'm always on the hunt for new places to eat that are better than the previous. This was my purpose for coming here. My buddy has dinner here regularly so ai picked up a ton of good order with my typical beef fried rice, Szechwan beef and pot stickers. I found the food good but not better than any of the places I order from nearer to my home. Perhaps I need to dine in to see if I'm missing something by taking out. The Host was very pleasant, the food was delivered very quickly and the men's bathroom was very clean. I like the Joy Luck Club and I think you will too.

Joy Luck Take-Out Oh my, Singapore Noodles are delicious! I haven't found anywhere across the valley that matches the Singapore noodles from here. I order them without shrimp and sub in chicken- delicious, never disappointed. They are thin, curry seasoned noodles so tasty. Not sure the best choice for date night, as you might not want to make-out with curry, garlic breath but give it a go and find out :) We ordered General Tsao Chicken, ham fried rice, orange chicken and Singapore noodles was roughly $60 bucks. Eating in the restaurant definitely takes some time and is a nice treat on occasion, reason I like the take-out. Fast and convenient.
